The competition is designed to encourage and assist you in taking your business idea, or existing business, to the next level and support the development of your business concept.
Entry is free and open to any South African citizen over 18 who has a business idea or an existing small business. You do not have to have a registered business to enter.
You participate in the competition by submitting an on-line business plan, using the guided template. Special training and assistance is available at every Seda branch.
You can register for our special one-day Business Plan Builder training at no charge. This course will prepare you to be able to work on your business plan confidently and understanding key business principles.
A total of up to 360 provincial finalists will be selected (up to 40 in each province) to present their business plans in person to a selection panel.
Provincial and national winners will be showcased and awarded their prizes (cash prizes, training and support vouchers, business books, laptops and more) at provincial and national winner award events.
At every stage of the competition (registration, submission of entry, selection of finalists and selection of winners), you will be kept informed via email and/or sms.
